Music

Sharing our love of God through music is a beautiful and transformative experience, and there is a way for everyone at St. Peter’s in the Woods to be involved. Whether as a member of the Adult Choir, Summer Pick-Up Choir, the occasional instrumentalist or an enthusiastic congregational singer, we can all use our God-given gifts to offer praise and thanksgiving to God.

New members are always welcome, so contact our music director, Sammy Huh today!

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir sings a variety of styles from classical to contemporary, traditional to gospel. Rehearsals are held weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m., and every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. to warm up, robe up, and run through the day’s anthem before the 10:00 a.m. service. Occasionally the Adult Choir will join other area ensembles to perform larger works. We like to work hard and laugh heartily as we seek to glorify God in song, and celebrate God’s love and art as passed down through the ages.

Summer Pick-Up Choir

If you are interested in singing in choir but unable to commit to weekly rehearsals during the year, then this group is for you! We gather every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. throughout the summer, and learn the anthem for that day’s service. Feel free to drop in any time and be a part of this flexible, summertime ensemble!

Special Music

Throughout the year there are various opportunities to provide special music at St. Peter’s in the Woods. If you are interested in sharing your musical gifts with the community at SPW, please let our Director of Music, Jenni Dunn, know.

Instrumentalist

St. Peter’s in the Woods welcomes instrumentalists to share their gifts. Please tell us if you have experience playing musical instruments, such as strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, piano, and organ.
